Now and Coming Up
Here is the background and particulars about currently-active animal welfare bills in the
• Iowa Legislature
• Federal legislature
03/06 (F)—End of Iowa Legislature Funnel Week One—most bills that aren't passed out of a committee by the end of the week are most likely dead, barring some extraordinary actions. As we enter Funnel Week One, most of the bills related to animal welfare issues are still not out of committee, so things may move quickly this week.
For the most up-to-date information regarding which bills make it through the funnel, check us our Facebook page.
04/03 (F)—End of Iowa Legislature Funnel Week Two—to stay alive for further consideration, most bills need to be approved by one full chamber and through a committee in the other chamber.
04/17 (F)—IFHS Quarterly Board Meeting—11am to 2pm, Animal Rescue League, 5452 NE 22nd St, Des Moines, Iowa.
